5/2 report:

An afternoon-only trip today. I have to say I struggled with bad South winds and a strong outgoing tide. The boat position was impossible to get right to fish bait. I had one fish on and came off halfway to the boat at the first spot, but the debris and grass were bad. Fish 6 different spots without any fish working about 7 miles south from the first location. Finally got a spot to stay straight for the last 45 min. It came down to absolutely the last minute, and we came tight; after a good battle, we netted our one and only fish of the day, but it was a good one. What a buzzer beater with this 44″ caught on Chunk herring
