5/1 fishing report:

Heavy rains last night and this morning’s winds were working against us, but McKenzie brought her good luck, as usual, this year on her Birthday!

McKenzie was first up with a great 39″er, and her dad was next with a fat chunk of a 40″ Bass. Her boyfriend gets the short straw with the biggest of the day, a 41.5″ cow. This fish caused all sorts of drama, getting wrapped in motors and then running under the boat thru 3 other rods we hadn’t had time to clear. Fortunately, with all the panic, the fish stayed connected, and we landed her a 4th box of fish that was also caught for tonight’s dinner. Both her dad and boyfriend got their first-ever Stripers today and personal bests that will be great memories for all for a lifetime!

Cheers 🍻 McKenzie, and Happy Birthday, it was a pleasure fishing with you all, and I always look forward to seeing you every spring.
